These chocolate bars are a wonderful alternative, with healthy fat like coconut oil and protein from the powder. Add sea salt to get added minerals as well!
Healthy Homemade Chocolate Bars
These healthy homemade chocolate bars are my go to when ever I have a sweet craving. This is one chocolate bar you will not have to feel guilty for eating! You will get to enjoy all the health benefits of the minerals in sea salt along with getting healthy fats into your diet from the coconut oil. Enjoy this guilt free chocolate bar recipe!
Ingredients
- 1 cup unrefined coconut oil
- 1 cup chocolate protein powder
- 1/4 cup peanut butter
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 tablespoon raw honey
Instructions
- heat coconut oil on low in a small sauce pan
- once melted add the chocolate protein powder and peanut butter, whisk until blended
- add vanilla, honey and celtic sea salt
- once blended pour into molds and set in the fridge to harden
Notes
- you can substitute the chocolate protein powder with 100% dark cacao powder.
- I used 2 8×8 silicone loaf pans for this recipe (which is why it has a nice wavy design.
- this recipe is easily customized to your taste. Use less peanut butter or leave it out entirely. You could add nuts or flax seeds if you like!
