Ingredients

Steak

  • 2 boneless beef ribeye steaks
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Shrimp

  • 1 pound shrimp
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/3 cup parmesan cheese

Sauce

  • 4 tablespoon butter
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

  • Pat the sirloin steak dry with paper towels, then season both sides generously with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
  • Heat olive oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat until the oil is shimmering and hot. Carefully place the steaks into the pan and listen for that satisfying sizzle.
  • Cook the steak for about 4–5 minutes per side, depending on thickness and your preferred doneness. Avoid moving the steak around too much so it develops a beautiful golden-brown crust.
  • During the final minute of cooking, add butter to the pan. As the butter melts, tilt the pan slightly and use a spoon to continuously baste the juicy steak with the rich buttery drippings for extra flavor and tenderness.
  • Transfer the cooked steak to a plate or cutting board and allow it to rest for at least 5 minutes. Resting helps keep the steak juicy and flavorful when sliced.
  • In the same frying pan, melt butter over medium heat. Add the shrimp and sprinkle with Old Bay seasoning, coating each piece evenly with the buttery seasoning blend.
  • Cook the shrimp for about 1–2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Stir in the minced garlic and parmesan cheese, tossing everything together until the shrimp are coated in cheesy, garlicky goodness.
  • Remove the shrimp from the pan and set aside while you prepare the creamy parmesan sauce.
  • Melt butter in the skillet over medium heat, then sauté the garlic for about 30 seconds until fragrant and lightly golden.
  • Slowly pour in the coconut milk, heavy cream and lemon juice, whisking gently to combine. Let the mixture simmer for a few minutes until warm and slightly thickened.
  • Gradually whisk in parmesan cheese while whisking continuously to create a smooth rich parmesan sauce. Stir in salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  • Place the rested steak onto serving plates, spoon the shrimp over the top, and finish with a generous drizzle of the warm creamy parmesan sauce. Serve immediately while hot and creamy.
