Ingredients

  • 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/3 cup peanut butter
  • 4 cups Kellogg's Coco Krispies Cereal

Instructions

  • Lightly grease a 9x13-inch cake pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal. Set aside.
  • Pour the Kellogg’s Coco Krispies cereal into a large mixing bowl and set aside.
  • In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips and peanut butter. Stir continuously until the mixture is completely melted, smooth, and creamy. Be careful not to overheat the chocolate.
  • Remove the saucepan from the heat and immediately pour the melted chocolate peanut butter mixture over the Coco Krispies cereal.
  • Gently stir until all of the cereal is evenly coated in the chocolate mixture.
  • Transfer the mixture into the prepared 9x13 cake pan. Use a spatula or the back of a spoon to gently press the bars into an even layer without crushing the cereal too much.
  • Refrigerate the bars for 1 to 2 hours, or until fully set and firm.
  • Slice into squares or bars and serve chilled or at room temperature.

Notes

  • Spray the bottom of your spatula lightly with nonstick cooking spray before pressing the mixture into the pan. This helps prevent sticking and makes it easier to spread the bars evenly.
  • Do not press the mixture too firmly into the pan or the bars may become dense instead of light and crispy.
  • Store leftover bars in an airtight container in the refrigerator for the best texture.
